Carlos Frick Sensei began practicing Aikido in 2005 at Nippon Khan Wisconsin, under Charles Deiro Sensei, direct student of Gaku Homma Sensei, founder of Nippon Khan and Uchideshi of O’Sensei in the Iwama Dojo. After 4 years with Nippon Khan, he moved to Kenosha and joined Kenosha Aikikai under Rock Lazo Sensei, a direct student of Akira Tohei Sensei, founder of the Midwest Aikido Center, where he still practices today.
Mr. Frick holds the rank of Sandan and is a Certified Assistant Instructor (Fukushidoin) issued by the United States Aikido Federation. He is also the main weapons instructor at Kenosha Aikikai and Iaido Chief Instructor under the Kyokaze Iaido Federation, founded by Kanai Sensei. Carlos has been mainly influenced by Saito Morihiro, Hitohira Sensei, Gaku Homma Sensei, Akira Tohei Sensei, Yamada Sensei, Chiba Sensei, and Kanai Sensei.
